Care & Wash Instructions for Trend Letters Polyester, TrendFlex & TrendFlex+ Cheer Uniforms

General Care:

  • Always turn the uniform inside out before washing to protect logos, embellishments, and stitching.

  • Wash separately from other garments, especially those with zippers or Velcro that could snag the fabric.

  • Do not mesh laundry bag

Polyester Uniforms:

Washing:

  • Machine wash with cold water on a gentle cycle.

  • Use a mild detergent free of bleach or fabric softeners to prevent damage to the fabric's fibers and colors.

Drying:

  • Hang dry or lay flat in a shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.

  • Do not use a dryer, as high heat can cause the fabric to shrink or lose its shape.

Ironing:

  • If necessary, iron using a cool setting with a protective cloth over the fabric to avoid direct heat exposure.

TrendFLEX/ TrendFlex+ Lycra Uniforms (Spandex/Elastane blends):

Washing:

  • Hand wash in cold water if possible, or use a gentle machine cycle with cold water.

  • Use a mild detergent, avoiding bleach and fabric softeners as they can degrade the elasticity of the material.

Drying:

  • Air dry by laying flat on a towel or hang drying. Avoid twisting or wringing out the fabric.

  • Do not tumble dry or expose to direct heat sources like radiators or dryers, as heat can break down the elasticity of Lycra.

Ironing:

  • Lycra generally doesn’t require ironing, but if needed, use the coolest iron setting and place a cloth between the iron and the fabric.

Rhinestone/ Sequien Uniforms

Washing:

  • Hand wash in cold water if possible,

  • Use a mild detergent, avoiding bleach and fabric softeners.

Drying:

  • Air dry by laying flat on a towel or hang drying. Avoid twisting or wringing out the fabric.

  • Do not tumble dry or expose to direct heat sources like radiators or dryers, as heat can break down decoration.

Ironing:

  • Do not iron.

Additional Tips:

  • Spot clean stains immediately with cold water to prevent setting.

  • Avoid harsh chemicals or solvents, which can damage both polyester and Lycra.

  • For uniforms with metallic prints or rhinestones, extra care is needed. Avoid harsh agitation or heat, which can cause embellishments to peel or crack.
